At MLS, we bridge fundamental research and industrial practice and provide process consulting, technical training, and feasibility assessment to the metals industry globally. We draw on an international network of collaborators across Australia, Europe, South Africa, North America and Japan.

Leadership & Affiliations

Sharif Jahanshahi Ph.D., D.I.C. is the Founder and Principal of MLS. He is a Fellow of the Australasian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy and Adjunct Professor at the University of New South Wales. He spent over two decades at CSIRO leading research programs in melt chemistry, slag and refractory science, and low-emission steelmaking.
